PRODUCT HIGHLIGHT | NYLON FASTENERS
Nylon fasteners, as the name suggest, are fasteners made of nylon, also know as polyamide. This type of plastic is usually modified during production to make it tough so that it can withstand the conditions that a regular fastener will be exposed to. They offer high-tensile strength and are more robust than aluminium. |
INTERESTING FACTS | MOLYBDENUM
The name of Molybdenum is derived from Neo-Latin molybdaenum (which is based on ancient Greek Μόλυβδος molybdos), meaning lead, since its ores were often confused with lead ores. Molybdenum is mined both as a principal ore and recovered as a by product of copper and tungsten mining. More than 43,000 tonnes of molybdenum are used each year in stainless steels. Grade 316/ A4, the second most common austenitic stainless steel, has 2% molybdenum added to provide greater resistance to acids and localised corrosion by chloride ions. |
DID YOU KNOW? | FASTENER ART
